The Cabbage Soup 4 Idiots Diet

The Cabbage soup diet is my favorite fad diet on the Internet. I am fascinated on why someone would choose this diet. There is no logic or reason on why your eating what your eating. For example on day one you can have cabbage soup (void of any nutrition) and any fruit except bananas (why?). Where is the protein? So by not eating protein your muscles will waste away which I guess would mean your losing weight.

I went on the Cabbage Soup Diet Site for some information and there wasn't any to be found. In fact they practically come right out and say they are not healthy. They say that the problem with most mainstream diets is "Most diets - especially mainstream diets, and those recommended by major medical institutions - work slowly but surely, resulting in around 1 pound of weight loss per week". Then they say "This slow and steady way to lose weight is certainly healthy, but suffers from one significant drawback : most people get discouraged and quit whatever diet they are on if they don't see results quickly." Why do major medical institutions say that 1 pound per week is healthy? I don't know maybe because IT IS! Maybe because it is unhealthy to lose 10 lbs in a single week like the site claims.

They clearly will appeal to the crowd of people that are overweight and don't want to go the slow but healthy way. We need to educate people and explain to them that they didn't get fat in a week so they sure in the hell can't get slim in a week. OK I'm done ranting. Go support our cabbage farmers. They're the innocent pawns in this game.
